The My Letters and Sounds Reception Classroom Kit provides durable, physical, colour versions of the core teaching and learning resources that are used frequently and repeatedly in lessons in Reception. Mnemonics are included to introduce new grapheme-phoneme correspondences (GPCs) and demonstrate correct letter formation. SoundMats can be used for regular practise of grapheme recognition and recall. Large format Friezes are provided to build up a colourful classroom display. Each week, the new GPCs can be added to the display for children to practise. Large format versions of the GraphemeCards can be used at the front of class or with small groups of children. A set of WordCards are included for each new GPC introduced, as well as Tricky Word Cards for each phase. The Reception Classroom Kit includes:

The posting box can also be used in a range of blending and segmenting activities, as described in the lesson plans.
