Abacus Set 1 For 2 children

This training workshop focuses on the discovery of shapes, colors, and quantities. Through hands-on activities, children experiment with different ways of reading and organizing information.

Presentation : 

The activity sheets offer different bead configurations on the abacuses. After an observation phase, the child will reproduce the model, respecting the order, shape, color, and quantity of beads on each rod.

Progression of activities: they are organized around 4 sets of 6 sheets of increasing difficulty.

- Circle series: find a shape of a different color on each rod.

- Star series: find a color of a different shape on each rod.

- Square series: find a different shape per rod and 4 different colors on each rod.

- Triangle series: find a different color per rod and 4 different shapes on each rod.

SKILLS DEVELOPED

• Identify 5 geometric shapes and 5 colors.
• Classify objects according to characteristics of shape and color.
• Decode and respect a classification order.
• Getting started with simple algorithms.
