Cissy and Kookie are steaming headlong into adventure when they leap aboard the Bright Lights Showboat, joining its motley crew of actors, inventors, teachers, preachers, barbers, dogs and performers! Together they paddle up the Missouri River, putting on plays and entertainments for the towns along the shores – while having daring adventures and beating hustlers at their own game.
